On the 30th of June, we will celebrate Pride Sunday - please join us in person at 650 Lyon St. in Ottawa or on-line (as you are able) starting around 10:25 am. A reminder also that next Sunday, July 7th, St. Giles Presbyterian (Bank and First Aves) will host the first of the joint summer services in the Glebe starting at 10:00 am.
Rev. Dr. Teresa Burnett-Cole will preside, Pam Fitch will welcome us and will offer the land acknowledgment. The scripture readings will be Psalm 150 read by Brad Munro. Our Minister of Music, James Caswell and the choir will lead us in song and will sing "A Rainbow is Dancing" by Mary Ellen Kish & Gwen Chapman in the Gift of Music.
As part of the reflection, Rev. Teresa will reflect on Pride Sunday, her own personal journey and about 'what the queer community should have told us' - a poem by Kai Cheng Thom.
Here is the bulletin for the service to follow along with the words of texts, hymns, songs and prayers. You can join the service live at 10:25 am at this YouTube link; after the service ends it will be available to watch as a recording.
