Please join us for Transfiguration Sunday - March 2nd at 10:30 am

March 2, 2025

Either in person or on-line, be welcomed among us as we gather and celebrate Transfiguration Sunday

Welcome to March and Transfiguration Sunday, the final Sunday following Epiphany, and before Lent (yes, Lent is around the corner!). All three of the synoptic gospels (Matthew, Mark and Luke) tell a story of Peter, James, and John accompanying Jesus to the top of a holy mountain. There, before their eyes, Jesus is transfigured or transformed into a dazzling brightness.

Rev. Dr. Teresa Burnett-Cole will lead the service. Liz Elton will welcome us, and Edith Gardell will offer the land acknowledgement. Rev. Sue Toller will give the Theme Conversation for children and adults. Barb Coyle will read the scripture: Luke 9: 28-36. Our Minister of Music, James Caswell and the choir will lead us in music and song; the anthem will be "Shine, Jesus Shine" by Graham Kendrick.

We will celebrate the sacrament of Holy Communion, so please have your “wine and bread” ready.

Here is the bulletin for the service to follow along with the words of texts, hymns, songs and prayers. You can join the service live at 10:25 am at this YouTube link; after the service ends it will be available to watch as a recording.
