On the 23rd June, we will celebrate National Indigenous Day of Prayer - please join us in person at 650 Lyon St. in Ottawa or on-line (as you are able) starting around 10:25 am.
Rev. Dr. Teresa Burnett-Cole will preside, Hilda Sabadash will welcome us and Edith Gardell will offer the land acknowledgment. Rev. Sue Toller will lead the Theme Conversation for children and adults. The scripture readings will be Matthew 5:14-16 read by Jim Louter. James Caswell and the choir will lead us in song and will sing "Litany to the Holy Spirit" by Peter Hurford in the Gift of Music.
As part of the reflection, Rev. Teresa will speak to us about remembering: "Linger here for a moment as we recall the moment in time when we remember the creator saying to us, 'I have called you by name; you are mine'".
And then, after service, there will be a strawberry social!
Here is the bulletin for the service to follow along with the words of texts, hymns, songs and prayers. You can join the service live at 10:25 am at this YouTube link; after the service ends it will be available to watch as a recording.
