Today is the annual Southeast Ottawa Cluster Epiphany Service. We welcome our visitors from the cluster churches of Emmanuel, Rideau Park, Riverside, and Southminster. Our five churches are working to find ways to work together and break down the separation between us.
The service will be co-led by Rev. Dr. Teresa Burnett-Cole, Rev. Paul Dillman (RUC), Rev. Dr. Frank Emanuel (SUC), Re. Dr. Steve Moore (EUC), Rev. Grant Stuckless (EUC), and Rev. Susan Toller.
Pam Fitch (GSJ) will welcome us, and Marsha Hay Snyder (GSJ) will offer the land acknowledgement.
The scripture readings will be Isaiah 60:1-6, and Matthew 2:1-12, by Barbara Coyle (GSJ), Sharon Emanuel (SUC), Karen Percy (RUC) and Richard Johnston (EUC).
Minister of Music, James Caswell (GSJ) and the massed cluster choir will lead us in music and song; the service will also feature solo gifts of music by Frank Emanuel and Sue Reive (SUC). Many thanks as well to music directors Wayne Irschick (RUC), Joan Foster Jones (EUC), Iain Macpherson (RP), and Sarah Westbrook (SUC).
Here is the bulletin for the service to follow along with the words of texts, hymns, songs and prayers. You can join the service live at 10:25 am at this YouTube link; after the service ends it will be available to watch as a recording.
