Please join us this Call and Vision Sunday, June 2nd 2024
We will be happy to welcome you to this service of Call and Vision starting at about 10:25 - you can attend either in person or via our livestream

Welcome to our service for Call and Vision! Today we reflect on the new United Church of Canada vision and purpose statment. Congratulations to Susan Toller who will be commissioned this evening as a Diaconal Minister.
Rev. Dr. Teresa Burnett-Cole will preside, Marsha Hay Snyder will welcome us and Elizabeth Elton will offer the land acknowledgment. Rev. (yes, Reverend!) Sue Toller will lead the Theme Conversation for children and adults. The scripture readings will be John 2:1-11 and I Corinthians 12:1-11. James Caswell and the choir will lead us in song and will sing "Spirit Come with Gifts for Giving" (Klusmeier) as the Gift of Music.
The service will also consist of a reflection on the new vision and purpose statements of the United Church of Canada; these are key elements of a strategic plan designed to shape the next three years. The Vision reads:
Called by God, as disciples of Jesus, The United Church of Canada seeks to be a bold, connected, evolving church of diverse, courageous, hope-filled communities united in deep spirituality, inspiring worship, and daring justice.
Here is the bulletin for the service to follow along with the words of texts, hymns, songs and prayers. You can join the service live at 10:25 am at this YouTube link; after the service ends it will be available to watch as a recording.
