National Indigenous Day of Prayer - June 19, 2022 at 10:30

June 17, 2022

Join us in person or via livestream this Sunday, June 19, for a service dedicated to healing, restoration and hope for our indigenous peoples

Happy Sunday! Today we celebrate and reflect on indigenous issues and the need for healing, restoration and hope as part of the National Indigenous Day of Prayer. We will have a video reflection by our long-time friend, Morgan Hare from the Cree Nation.

We continue to worship in a hybrid fashion with some joining in person in the Sanctuary, and some coming together online via livestream or watching the recording at a later time. A warm welcome to those of you joining us here!

Our service this week will be led by one of our licenced lay worship leaders, Dietlind Gardell, with a message that is  close to her and a video reflection from Morgan Hare. Our scripture reading comes from Psalm 106:1-5. James Caswell, our Minister of Music, and the choir will lead us in music and song.

Our service bulletin with hymns, texts and announcements is linked here.

Join in on the virtual offering plate for M&S, Outreach & GSJ operational needs! If donating online, you can indicate on the 'paypal' page where you want your gift to be dedicated to.

You can watch the video of the service here on YouTube. Please consider 'subscribing' to the GSJ YouTube channel and use the 'notification' (the 'bell' symbol on the GSJ YouTube channel) to be notified when we go live. If, for any reason, the webcast is interrupted you should still be able to connect by looking for the red 'live' thumb-nail image.
