Come celebrate Indigenous Day of Prayer & the fourth Sunday after Pentecost: June 25, 2023

June 24, 2023

Be welcome! Our Sunday service is @ 10:30am - in person, or by livestream

Join us in person or via our livestream as we continue to reflect on the story of Jesus in this 'post-Easter' period.

Rev. Dr. Teresa Burnett-Cole and Susan Toller will join together to lead this service. Susan will offer the Reflection this week, telling stories of her recent visit to the Unist’ot’en house group of the Wet’suwet’en people in northern British Columbia. The scripture reading is from Luke 9:1-6, and will be read by Wayne MacWhirter. James Caswell, our Minister of Music and the choir will lead us in music and song.

If you'd like to read along the sermon texts, prayers, hymn lyrics and even the children's story, find the service bulletin linked here.

This will be our last Sunday of pre-Summer worship this year at GSJ. In the coming weeks, we will be joining in shared services with our sister congregations. More details can be found on the front page of the website.

Join in on the online offering plate for M&S, Outreach & GSJ operational needs! If donating online, you can indicate on the 'paypal' page where you want your gift to be dedicated. Gifting by means of e-transfer is now accepted using the email: [email protected] (please indicate to which fund you wish your donation to go to).

You can watch the video of the service here on YouTube. If you had trouble getting on to the first link, please click again, as the link address may have been updated to address technical difficulties. Alternately, consider 'subscribing' to the GSJ YouTube channel and use the 'notification' (the 'bell' symbol on the GSJ YouTube channel) to be notified when we go live. If, for any reason, the webcast is interrupted and we need to re-start with a new link, you should both get a notification, or you should still be able to connect by looking for the red 'live' thumb-nail image.

You can now view the weekly announcement slides or on our "What's Happening?" page. Scroll through at your own pace, or let them auto-play - your choice! Sign up for our e-Update to keep up on more of the life and work of the church.

Let us know how we are doing! If you have any ideas, comments or feedback about the online (or in person!) worship experience, please contact the worship committee at: [email protected].
