Remembrance Sunday —the Sunday closest to November 11th— is kept with great solemnity as an annual reminder of the evil of war and the sacrifice of those who have given their lives for their nation and for the cause of justice and freedom. Many people on this day attend worship, visit cemeteries, and wear it poppy flower on their lapels in commemoration of the day and what it represents.
Rev. Dr. Teresa Burnett-Cole will lead the service. Ruth Burnett-Cole will welcome us, Pam Fitch will offer the land acknowledgement, and Rev. Sue Toller will lead the Theme Conversation for children and adults. Donna-Fay Mailhot will read the scripture: Judges 4:1-10;23-24. Our Minister of Music, James Caswell and the choir will lead us in music and song; the anthem will be "Al Shlosha" by Allan E. Naplan.
Here is the bulletin for the service to follow along with the words of texts, hymns, songs and prayers. You can join the service live at 10:25 am at this YouTube link; after the service ends it will be available to watch as a recording.
