A warm welcome to all joining us for this service, whether in person or on line, on November 28th for the first Sunday of Advent. This Sunday we will reflect on the feeling of 'home sick' as it relates to the advent period of 'longing' (for justice, for peace, for _______) and the desire to 'come home'. We are not alone in this world. We will also have communion in the service so please be prepared and have your own beverage and cracker/bread.
Our Minister, the Rev. Teresa Burnett-Cole will lead the service. The scriptures will be read by Eric Dormer (LUKE 21:25-36). James Caswell, Minister of Music, will be joined by choir members, Julia Barry, David Brown, Jim Louter, Shelley Eckford, Pamela Fitch, Crystal Maitland, and Karen Walker to lead us in music and song.
Our service bulletin with hymns, texts and announcements is linked here.
Join in on the virtual offering plate for M&S, Outreach & GSJ operational needs! If you are attending in person, offering plates are available in the Narthex (front hall) of the Sanctuary. If donating online, you can indicate on the 'paypal' page where you want your gift to be dedicated to.
CLICK HERE for the livestream on YouTube at around 10:20 am (announcements) for the 10:30 am Sunday service; after the service you will be able to view a recording on YouTube by clicking the same link or by viewing in the video player below. Please consider 'subscribing' to the GSJ YouTube channel and use the 'notification' (the 'bell' symbol on the GSJ YouTube channel) to be notified when we go live. If, for any reason, the webcast is interrupted you should still be able to connect by looking for the red 'live' thumb-nail image.
After the service, join us on Zoom at 1:00 PM for our November hymn sing!
