Sunday, June 27th, 2021 - PRIDE Sunday

June 25, 2021

Join us for our livestreamed service on Sunday, June 27th.

Celebrate PRIDE with us at Glebe-St. James. Rev. Teresa Burnett-Cole will reflect on Psalm 150, interweaving themes of inclusion as well as those of joy and celebration that are represented in PRIDE celebrations by LGBTQ2S+ individuals, communities and allies.

James Caswell, our Minister of Music, and Julia Barry, Crystal Maitland and Liz Caswell will lead us in music and song.

Join in on the virtual offering plate for M&S, Outreach & GSJ operational needs! If you have pledged for the new digital organ fund, your pledges for 2021 are requested by June 30 (you can indicate on the 'paypal' page where you want your gift to be dedicated to).

CLICK HERE for the livestream on YouTube at around 10:20 am (announcements) for the 10:30 am Sunday service; after the service you will be able to view a recording on YouTube by clicking below.

The meeting will be followed by an early virtual coffee hour at 12:00pm (a Zoom link found in the service bulletin) and the June Hymn sing at 1pm. Click here to download the hymn lyrics and get to the zoom link.

A few summer notes:

This is our last regular worship service before summer! But we still hope to see you over the summer! Here's a few ways to keep in touch:

  1. Zoom coffee break will continue at 1pm over the summer (the link stays the same as the one in the bulletin, above).
  2. Summer services: links and information on shared summer services with our sister congregations (St. Giles Presbyterian, Southminster United and Fourth Ave. Baptist) will be here on the website, as well as in the e-Update.
  3. Teresa, though on holidays, is still available by email for pastoral emergencies. Jennifer will be on summer hours: She will be in the office on Tuesday and Thursday, 8:30 am – 1:00 pm. She will also be checking e-mails on Monday and Wednesday mornings. Reach out to her if you'd like a copy of the up-to-date directory to keep in touch with other members of the congregation! Or, sign up for e-Updates to get summer news!
