Of all the things you could be doing on a Sunday morning, we are so happy that you chose to be here with us in person or online to participate in song, prayer and worship for this fifth Sunday of Easter. The message today concerns Philip and his conversation with an official from the Court of the Queen of Ethiopia. Philip follows in the footsteps of Jesus and shows radical acceptance of people that others in the church would have a hard time accepting.
Rev. Dr. Teresa Burnett-Cole will preside, Ruth Burnett-Cole will welcome us and Susan Toller will offer the land acknowledgment. She will also lead the Theme Conversation for children and adults. Alexa De Grandmont will read the scripture: John 15:1-8. James Caswell and the choir will lead us in music and song. Special musical guest Mikayla Jensen-Large, soprano, will sing from G.F. Handel Theodora "As with rosy steps the morn". Welcome Mikayla!
Here is the bulletin for the service to follow along with the words of texts, hymns, songs and prayers. You can join the service live at 10:30 am at this YouTube link; after the service ends it will be available to watch as a recording.
Also in this service we will celebrate communion so if you are participating with us from home, please prepare a cracker (or bread) and some appropriate beverage to eat and drink with us.
