Join us for the Sixth Sunday after Epiphany

February 13, 2022

Worship with us digitally this Sunday, February 13, 2022

A very warm welcome to all joining us for this service, which will only be available on-line, for the sixth Sunday after Epiphany, February 13th, 2022.

We are delighted that Susan Toller, our Pastoral Care Intern will lead this weeks service as part of her journey towards becoming a diaconal minister with the United Church. Her message explores how Luke's gospel telling of the "Sermon on the Plain" can provide insights to help in sorting through the complexity of the current state of affairs in Ottawa. Meanwhile, Rev. Teresa Burnett-Cole is excited to experience her first live-streamed GSJ service from home! The scriptures will be Luke 6:17-26 read by Pam Fitch. Special Music will be provided by Bruce Taylor on viola. James Caswell, Minister of Music, will be joined by choir members Pam Fitch, Jim Louter, Crystal Maitland, Martein de Leeuw, Elizabeth Elton and Shelley Eckfort to lead us in music and song.

Our service bulletin with hymns, texts and announcements is linked here.

Join in on the virtual offering plate for M&S, Outreach & GSJ operational needs! If donating online, you can indicate on the 'paypal' page where you want your gift to be dedicated to.

You can watch the video of the service here on YouTube. Please consider 'subscribing' to the GSJ YouTube channel and use the 'notification' (the 'bell' symbol on the GSJ YouTube channel) to be notified when we go live. If, for any reason, the webcast is interrupted you should still be able to connect by looking for the red 'live' thumb-nail image

After the service, there will be a zoom coffee hour at noon - see the service bulletin for the link.
